Life got crazy last year. Work was really busy. I generally only work a couple of months at a time but I worked from the day after Labor Day till end of June this year. Went from one job to another. Sure the money is nice but sometimes time at home is what I really want.
Just got back from vacation. Went to Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach and then to Florida to visit with joe & Lucia. Came home with a plan, sort of. Have to remodel the bathroom and do some serious downsizing. Time to get the house ready to sell.

The beginning of a new adventure
So, this is hopefully the beginning of a new adventure for me and Bill. Last summer he bought a little sailboat for us to learn to sail. We found a few years ago that we both love the ocean and being on a boat so for us that has brough us to the decision to become cruisers. We are planning on purchasing a mid 30' sailboat or catamaran and live aboard and sail the Caribbean to start with.
We have started the process of getting to our St. Somewhere. We had our kitchen remodeled recently and are going to start downsizing and getting the rest of the house ready to sell. This will be a difficult process. It is funny how "things" have such meaning to us when what is really important are the memories - the people, not the things. So downsizing will be difficult but very necessary to get to where we want to be.
The goal at this point is to sell the house in the next year or two though Bill keeps saying he wants to sell it in the spring. I don't want to sell our home to move into a rental in an area I don't want to be. I want to sell and move south as the first step so it will be interesting to see how things go.
He has the little sailboat ready to take out so that is probably how we will be spending weekends. He wants to have a little experience on the water before we head to St. Thomas to take sailing lessons.
So as we begin this journey I want to share our planning and downsizing and every thing else that will be happening to get to our St. Somewhere.....
